We have multiple cats, and can’t afford to buy the premium food! Looking for a healthy choice and a good value. Both Authority and Nutro labels look OK, but they do vary somewhat. Or maybe there’s a better choice altogether in this price range.

Een Kattenmand vriendin besloot onze katten een plezier te doen met speciaal bio-kattenvoer van Yarrah, een erg goed merk (Organic Cat Food). We waren benieuwd wat ze had laten sturen naar de Kattenmand. Het bleek een grote doos te zijn met 2x 10 kg bio-kattenbrokken en 2 trays met overheerlijke bio-kattenvoer blikjes. We also engage in activities that strive to educate the public about the importance of spaying and neutering their pets and in the humane treatment of animals. Our rescue group saves animals from the euthanasia list at the local city kill shelters and also we save abandonned homeless animals. These animals were someone’s pet. Because of allergies, moving, divorce or simply don’t want anymore these pets have been thrown out or surrendered to the city shelter where 8 out of 10 animals will be euthanised because of space. We hold adoption events a few times a month in hopes of finding new homes for these wonderful pets we have in our care. Applications are filled out and home checks are done. I’ve heard so many different opinions about which cat and/or kitten food on the market is the best. I’ve heard Science Diet, Iams, Sheba, Purina One, etc. To the cat experts out there – which cat food is the best as far as healthy and tasty? Also, is it better to for a one year old kitten to have soft or hard food?
Peaches is on a very strict “Skunk Food” only diet. However, if you don’t keep and eye on her she will be more then happy to eat any dog or cat food she can get her little paws on! Cat food is very bad for skunks as it is too high in calories and in general just not the right stuff. Skunks don’t come across much processed foods in the wild. I prepare Peaches two fresh meal each and every day (Breakfast and Dinner) of about 50% veggies and about 40% simple proteins, 10% other whole foods with 3-5 kernels of dog food for the vitamins and “Missing Link” supplement for cats. Skunks are always looking for a free meal, and have the natural tendency to be portly ) … so Diet is everything (except lots and lots of love) when it comes to having a happy and healthy pet skunk.
