Our dogs were getting on in age so a little over a year ago I decided I would “Cook” for our dogs. I got the idea from a family member who was doing this for her older dog. Commercial pet food contains way to many chemicals and by products that are not fit even for your dog. A lot of dog food sold in our grocery stores comes from China and many 3rd world nations. Far to many times I have watched news stories or read stories where these Commercial pet foods had killed scores of family pets. Like most families we look at our dogs as part of our family and not just the pet. Pet food from China has repeatedly found to have been poisoned and/or contaminated. Still it is right there on our grocery store shelves waiting for us to be the sucker to buy it for our pets. In many cases foreign made pet food contains “Horse Meat”. The rules for can dog and cat food allow for almost anything (left over) to be used in making the pet food. This includes diseased animal parts and rotten meat. If you really love and care for your pet you will use a natural wholesome meal like I prepare. I buy potatoes, carrots and the veg. beef soup in bulk when it is on sale. I also buy from our dollar store large packages of all beef hotdogs. We have 2 large dogs (hounds) and a Bichon Frise. Each week I will cook up 3-4 cans of veg. beef soup, 2 large packages of hotdogs (16) and one can of beef or chicken gravy. Cut up the potatoes & carrots. Then mix in with the soup on your stove. She’s 6 months old and has been on nature’s model of a raw meat diet, which all felines have been designed to thrive upon and that includes house cats. Felines are obligate carnivores and being fed anything other than raw meat will result in poor nutrition and poor health. This is why our pets grow up to have “human” diseases such as arthritis, heart conditions, liver problems, dental issues, etc, etc. Humans are not even supposed to live with these conditions either and that’s also a result of improper nutrition but I won’t get into that now. These health conditions are a direct result of our pets being fed kibble, aka death nuggets, and cooked soft food. Cats were not meant to consume grain, vegetables, fruits or cooked food. Eating raw meat gives cats (and dogs) the optimal nutrition that they’ve evolved on, while cleaning their teeth and providing them with the mental stimulation they require. This is only a video of my cat eating a drumstick. I’ll post a video where she consumes a full animal, possibly a bird, rodent or a whole chicken that you’d buy in stores. We’ll see! But when I do post that, watch at the concentration it requires to pull apart an animal. It’s pretty fascinating, IMO …
