Caipora always gets a food beard lol. My 2 month old Merauke BTS after just eating some giant mealworms eats a little bit of organic cat food with some carrots, kiwi, and calcium drops.
A few days ago Mozes picked up the kittens and moved them to my bed. This seems to be a natural instinct to change nest every now and then. But I was not sure if I wanted that so I moved them back in their queening box. No good. She again moved them into my bed, under the blankets and renamed it Our Bed! At first I was worried that the kittens would not get enough air but there is no problem there. I also made a little tent with the use of the two halves of their transportation box just to be sure. They are mightily happy there! It is warm all around and they grow like ‘cabbage’ (Dutch saying) and at 12 days they had the weight of a 25 day old kitten. Since some of them have immensly disproportionate ‘big’ claws I guess Mozes has met up with some Big Papa. Mozes herself is loosing a lot of weight. I keep on feeding her fatty raw meat from these frozen sausages (the dog version, with uncleaned tripe) you get at the pet store, raw sheep brains that contain all the good Omega fat types, kitten food and add olive oil to the dish. I also mix 1/4th of kitten milk with 3/4 of water for her. That all goes down very well. Every 2 hours she eats like the first day I picked her off the street. She is small but she only weighed about 2 kilo’s then. With the raw meet you need to keep good check on the worm medicine. Poor old Batman. He pecks at the worm, but he’s out by several cms. With one eye wonky, he’s having trouble picking up the inch worm. Sady (hubby’s cat) found it for me! She was thinking about eating, but prefers her special hypoallergenic, /can, cat food! He eventually picked it up off of my hand, but this is going to take awhile! Without a natural food source because they all die off in cold weather these little ladies should be dead. It is much to cold for them outside. They were injured, each missing the use of a front leg, so i brought them inside. I found one moth and a couple of tiny caterpillars, but they moved too much and they are each missing the use of a front leg. That is important for holding the pray. So I thought what about canned cat food??? And the munched it up. This is them eating cat food off a fork. I wonder how long they will live in captivity.They already outlived everyone else. I have had them for 4 days and it is 23 degrees outside. Much too cold for them to survive.
