my cats aren’t on a special diet or anything ,but Im looking for a good food for my cats. I prefer a premium food. I found the cheaper food you feed the worse their litter box smells. So Im looking for something top of the line. Please help. Ive heard of Chicken Soup For the Soul, and Innova, but wondered what else was out there?
I have a kitten who’s about 20 weeks and I think it’s about time to take her off her kitten food. What would be a good food for an indoor cat? Preferably organic?
My cat eats a 6-oz can of cat food a day — I’m trying to look for a good food that’s also economical. Right now he eats mostly Wellness & EVO (around .49-.60/can), but I wonder if there are less expensive but just-as-healthy alternatives. I realize that my cat eats on a budget that costs me about as much as a regular coffee does every day – but I see no harm in looking to get the best value, since there are so many choices at the pet store.
What are your top priorities in a premium cat food?
- No by-products
- No preservatives
- No artificial ingredients (including colorings, flavorings)
- No added salt/sugars
- Grain-free
- Meat as the first ingredient
Can anyone recommend some other good brands, and about how much they cost per 6-oz can?
Anyone can help please… i`m searching for a good food to give to my cat, where i live we do not have food such as Wellness and Evo which are known to be the best premium cat food. Here we have food such as Friskies, Whiskas, Gourment, Felix anything from Purina, Iams, Royal Canin and Walmart.
My cats are both fussy eaters, and they want only Gourment Gold. Does anyone know details about how much phosphorus and other stuff it contains. I tried to search online to no avail…

I live in Malta (central europe) and no we do not receive Wellness i even contacted them to try and ship them over, but they refused.
What we have here is mainly Purina, Iams, Whiskas and similar things… that is why i`m inquiring online to see if maybe i can find some other alternatives to my cats diet…
I have been feeding my kitten Whiskas and found out it is crap food, so i switched to Wellness CORE cat food although I found out Natural Balance cat food is also really good food. Anyone know what food I should feed my kittens??? I want the healthiest food to keep my two kittens happy and healthy. Thank you to all who answer.
My husband and I just adopted a kitten from a shelter…. they had her on friskies dry food, which I know is not a good food for her. I was told by a woman at our local Petco to put her on Nutro Max kitten formula, but I was also looking into Dick Van Patten’s Natural balance cat food (which can be given to a kitten watered down). Can anyone recommend what would be better? Our dog is currently on Natural Balance allergy free dog formula (he has skin allergies), and does wonderful. Thanks for any info! Oh, if you could also recommend a good wet food to mix in that would be great help!
